Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the cloud-hosted DroneRoute service at app.droneroute.io ("the service"), operated by Ferran Basora ("we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
DroneRoute is a free, open-source drone mission planner that allows you to create waypoint missions, export KMZ files, and manage flight plans for DJI drones. The service is provided as-is, free of charge.
2. Accounts
- You must sign in with a Google account to use the cloud service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
- You must provide accurate information. Accounts created with fraudulent or misleading information may be terminated.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
3. Your content
- You retain ownership of all mission data you create using DroneRoute.
- By using the sharing feature, you grant us permission to serve your shared mission data to anyone with the share link.
- We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your missions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to plan flights that violate aviation regulations in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Abuse, overload, or interfere with the service infrastructure.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.
5. Flight safety and responsibility
DroneRoute is a planning tool only. You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your drone. It is your responsibility to:
- Verify that all mission parameters are correct before flying.
- Comply with all local aviation laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions.
- Ensure your drone is airworthy and properly maintained.
- Maintain visual line of sight or comply with applicable beyond-visual-line-of-sight regulations.
We are not responsible for any accidents, damage, injuries, or legal violations resulting from the use of missions planned with DroneRoute.
6. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Generated KMZ files will be compatible with all DJI devices or firmware versions.
- Mission calculations (distances, times, gimbal angles) will be perfectly accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Account suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the service at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at the email below.
8. Open source
DroneRoute's source code is available under the MIT License. These terms apply only to the cloud-hosted service, not to self-hosted instances.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via the service interface.
